Reproductive Health & Family Planning

The Reproductive Health and STD Clinics are funded, in part, by grants through the Ohio Department of Health and the Federal Government. Services are provided by appointment only. Services provided promote planned pregnancies and healthy sexual practices. Services available include birth control (including abstinence and natural family planning), education, pap tests, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and treatment, and prenatal care up to 34 weeks. Condoms are available. Cost is based on income. Clients do not have to live in Carroll County to get these services. Medicaid and other insurances are accepted.
 
Clients eligible for Reproductive Health & Wellness grant services cannot be turned away for inability to pay. 

Sexually Transmitted Disease Services

If you want to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases or think you may have an STD, Carroll County General Health District (CCGHD) provides screening and treatment for certain diseases. There is a minimum fee for some STD services. Medicaid and other insurance programs are accepted. All client information remains confidential. We are required to report suspected child abuse or neglect.
 
Services available include exams and screenings for chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital warts, syphilis, trichomoniasis, HIV and hepatitis C depending on symptoms and patient history. We also provide education about safer sexual practices and STD prevention. Condoms are available.

Pregnancy Tests

Pregnancy testing is available by appointment. 

Birth Control Options

CCGHD offers a variety of birth control options to clients, such as pills, patches, NuvaRing, Depo Provera, Nexplanon, and referrals for intrauterine devices (IUDs). Please call to schedule an appointment. 

Prenatal Services

CCGHD offers prenatal care up to 34 weeks of pregnancy. Please call to schedule an appointment.

What to Bring: Picture ID, insurance card and/or pay stub. Our clinic is sliding fee scale based on your income and household. If you have no source of income, you will not be turned away.
