Procedure for Acquiring Well & Sewage Permits in Carroll County

Please call our Environmental Department at (330) 627-8022 for information on obtaining a sewage permit.  This website is currently being updated to reflect the new rules that recently went into effect, and this information will be available online shortly.

Well permits are $176.50 and should be pulled by a well driller. A well permit is valid for one year. Approval of your well permit requires the following items before the permit expires:

• A well log (submitted by well driller)

• A pump completion form (submitted by well driller or home owner)

• The home owner must schedule an appointment with a sanitarian to take a water sample. The first sample is free to the home owner. Any additional samples needed for approval are $30.00.
