The Health Department is open from 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, and is closed on all Federal Holidays.

It is the mission of the Carroll County Health District to promote and improve the health of Carroll County residents. Striving to acheive the highest level of wellness possible for the citizens of the county, the Health District will insure, through an organized community effort:

	A clean and healthy environment.
	The provision of quality medical services, with an emphasis on preventative health care.
	Control of communicable disease.
	Education of individuals to adopt an appropriate lifestyle, which will promote a longer, healthier life.
	Continual assessment of community environmental and health needs.

The Carroll County General Health District recognizes that it is but one component of a community’s health service and must encourage cooperation among private, volunteer and public agencies and residents to meet the health needs of the county effectively. The Health District has committed itself to a public health system subject to federal, state and local regulations and those constraints determined by available resources.
